Madison Buck, RN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
PA
My name is Dr. Madison Haley Buck, and I am a dual-certified nurse practitioner. I am an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-C), and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I obtained my doctorate from Temple University in 2019. I specialize in working with families to improve mental health. I have many populations of interest to include children, adolescents, women, military-service members, veterans and geriatrics. My patients struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, burn-out, insomnia, indecision, marital and family conflict, co-parenting struggles, PTSD, lack of family support, exhaustion, boundary-setting and successful self-care routines. I help by providing a calming and non-judgmental space to explore more difficult topics. I am genuinely curious by nature, and I ask many questions to better understand your past, present and future circumstances. I am frequently told by my patients that I am kind and patient in my interactions. My favorite part of my work as a clinician is learning about your story and the person you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My practice is unique because I love providing therapy, and I understand not everything can be fixed with another prescription. I strongly believe that exercise, sleep and food selection strongly impact how we feel and operate on a day -to-day basis. I never wanted to work in a revolving-door style practice, and I want my patients to be informed and empowered. As a working mother of two and a life-long learner, I understand the challenges that parents and families face. I am extremely compassionate and want my patients to feel heard and understood. I am passionate about this work because mental health should be treated like any other health condition. I believe our society has largely lost sight on the importance of the family structure, generational support and work-life balance. I want to be part of the solution by helping people recognize just how common these issues are and build successful tools to help you excel in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session is designed to be collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs. During your first visit, we will spend time getting to know you in depth. I will ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any prior treatments. This helps me develop a clear and accurate understanding of what you’re experiencing so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits you. Follow-up sessions are usually more focused. We will check in on how you’ve been feeling, review progress, and make adjustments as needed. I may incorporate elements of talk therapy, including supportive counseling and practical strategies to help you manage stress, mood, anxiety, and life challenges. If medication is part of your treatment, we will also review how it’s working and make thoughtful adjustments when needed. My approach is patient-centered and collaborative. I believe in creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions. Together, we will work toward improving your symptoms, building coping skills, and helping you feel more balanced and in control of your mental health.
