Ms. Maren Batts is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner who recently moved from New Orleans to Cincinnati. She is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University (Bachelor's) and Nicholls State University, where she earned her Master's in Nursing. Maren works with adults (18+) experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. Before moving to Ohio, she worked in addiction recovery, which was quite rewarding. Her goal is to empower clients to put their best selves forward. She compassionately puts clients in charge of their progress and goals.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a psychiatric nurse with children and adults on inpatient units. She also worked with children with a variety of emotional, behavioral, neurological, and learning needs in an alternative school setting on an organic farm in Vermont. This setting confirmed her love of psychiatry and her desire to help others be their best selves.
Maren's goal is to meet clients where they are, identify their goals, and take steps toward success. She believes in creating strong relationships with clients and seeing them make positive changes toward feeling their best. She is looking forward to working with the Happier Living team and with you.
