“Dr. Mejia was great. She was very interested in my medical issues. Asked alot if questions. Ran all the appropriate tests. Friendly. And very knowledgeable. She knows what she's doing. ShM80426e was all about me. Her patient. Nothing like my last PCP. All he cared about is how many patients he can run thru is office in a day, everyday. Very little waiting. Front desk was friendly and nice. Her staff of nurses were very nice. I think I found my PCP.”

Dr. Maria A. Mejia originally graduated with her medical degree from “Universidad de Oriente” in Venezuela, and completed her specialty training in Family Medicine at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Her interests include primary care for the entire family with an emphasis on preventive care and women’s health. Dr. Maria Mejia is excited to have the opportunity to provide high-quality health care to the families of this community and will use her bilingual skills to assist patients struggling to express their medical concerns if English is their second language. She loves cultural diversity, and is very proud of her Latin culture.

Su interés como médico es poder servir a toda la familia en forma preventiva con énfasis especial en el cuidado de la salud de la mujer. La Dra.
