Dr. Guerra and the entire staff at the location near the mall was very pleasant. Although I waited a while, it was worth the wait. She took time to listen and was very nice. The office is super clean and comfy.

Dr. Marielena Guerra understands, first-hand, what it is like to be a female in the Hispanic culture. Dr. Guerra was born in Cuba, and prior to living in South Florida, lived in Venezuela. Her family’s motto, “You do not see a doctor unless gravely ill,” actually inspired her passion to be a physician. By becoming an OBGYN, Dr. Marielena Guerra has dedicated herself to women’s health. Dr. Guerra is committed to providing exceptional medical care in a comfortable and safe environment to women of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Her medical expertise is paired with a woman’s experience and empathy to provide patients with needed, and deserved, emotional support.
Dr. Guerra believes that empowered patients are satisfied patients. She educates patients and provides essential resources so they may become active participants in managing every aspect of their health and associated care. Patients who find medical exams uncomfortable or distressing are put at ease with Dr. Guerra’s non-threatening and open approach to female health. Dr. Guerra helps to calm and reassure her patients through open communication and dialog while encouraging them to be advocates in their own health care processes. Most importantly, Dr. Guerra finds her relationships with each patient and every baby a privilege.
Dr. Guerra received her Medical Degree from the Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth Dominica. She completed her post-graduate Obstetrics and Gynecology training at The Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), AMA, BCMA, and FMA.

As a new patient just visiting the area I was first of all grateful that Dr Guerra accepts new patients. My experience at the clinic was very positive - the staff courteous and friendly. The nurse who checked me in was very thorough as she took my history. Dr Guerra was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous and had some ideas about my condition but did not treat until lab results came back which I appreciated. The only downside was that although I arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment I waited over 30 minutes past the appointment time to be seen.

I think they may have forgotten about me. My appointment was 3:30. At about 4:20 after waiting nearly a full hour I went up to the window and said something. A nurse/assistant came and got me not too long after and I asked if she thought I'd be out by 5pm. She was unsure, but told Dr. Guerra that I had already waited awhile so she did come in and see me quickly thereafter. But to wait an hour with a scheduled appointment to be acknowledged by anyone is a little ridiculous. Dr. Guerra is great - friendly and professional - but the waiting with no update and only getting seen after I said something was very frustrating.

The waiting time was ridiculous & really turned me off, specially a morning to middle of the day appt. When people are taking time from work... If the doctor is delayed someone should make a phone call & make the patient aware. That's just taking an extra step to customer service, as things do happen & it's understandable..

The first time I went to the office, I did it through Zocdoc,it was a VERIFIED appointment and yet they said they did not find my appointment at all,and the funny thing is after I made the appointment through Zocdoc I called the office and they put me on a 20 minute hold and finally said that they would call me before the Zocdoc appointment gets verified,the lady suggested that I make another appointment for the following week and fill out some papers so the next time I come it will be easier,The next week I came they said they cannot find my papers at all,and they almost was about to tell me to reschedule,thankfully they didn't,they made me wait an hour to see a doctor,and that is not the worst part,but it's too personal,but she know what she did and that was very unprofessional ,I should have went with my guts and just left without giving them my information the first time they made me change my appointment date,I'll be going elsewhere.
