Dr. Tony A. Dixon, MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over 35 years of experience providing comprehensive primary care to adult patients. Known for his thorough, compassionate, and personalized approach, Dr. Dixon focuses on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and long-term wellness.
Dr. Dixon earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Meharry Medical College, graduating in the top 10% of his class, and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Howard University Hospital, followed by advanced fellowship training in Gastroenterology, giving him deep expertise in digestive health, complex diagnostics, and comprehensive internal medicine care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dixon has served as a Primary Care Physician, Hospitalist, Medical Director, and Assistant Medical Director, caring for diverse patient populations across Florida. He has extensive experience managing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and other chronic illnesses. Patients appreciate his ability to listen carefully, explain conditions clearly, and develop individualized treatment plans.
