About Dr. Jessenia Magua
At Dr. Jessenia Magua's office, patients receive compassionate gynecological and obstetrical care from a doctor who puts them at ease and explains things in terms they can understand. Her goal is to provide progressive healthcare to women throughout their lifecycle.
A native Floridian, Dr. Magua is a highly trained, Board-Eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist who is easygoing, caring, and a good listener. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Magua treats the full spectrum of OB/GYN issues, including adolescent counseling, menopause management, and urinary incontinence.
She also provides very personal pregnancy care and offers both in-office permanent sterilization (Essure® and Adiana) and laparoscopic or postpartum tubal ligation.
Dr. Magua specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries for managing benign gynecologic disorders such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. She also offers minimally invasive options for treating abnormal uterine bleeding using office-based endometrial ablation techniques, including Novasure®, Thermachoice®, Hydrothermablation, and more™.

I love dr. Magua not once have i went to her with questions and she has not thoroughly explained everything. She explains everything in detail and what to expect with every procedure. I have always been afraid with feeling pain during a pap and with her you do kot even feel it. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for gynecologist. Thank you for the love and care you give your patients..

Most of reviews say that the wait time is LONG, so I was fully prepared for my first appointment. I brought my laptop with me, I was going to do some work while waiting. I only waited for 10 minutes! I described my issues to Dr. Magua, she informed me what tests I need to do in advance, so I know what I will be billed.
On my second visit, my husband went with me for the result. Dr. Magua was taking her time and patiently explained everything to us and answered to all our questions.
On my surgery day, we still had some doubts. Dr. Magua explained more to us and gave us time to decide. She didn't rush us at all. My surgery took longer than expected, my husband was very worried. He told me afterwards that when Dr. Magua came to tell him how did it go, she gave him a thumb up through window before walking into the waiting room. This sweet move did put him at ease right away! At my post-op, Dr. Magua talked to us thoroughly about things that I should or shouldn't do at home. Overall, she makes us feel like she is a friend of ours, put our worries at ease. She's friendly and professionally. We trust Dr. Magua and really glad to have her as my OBGYN.

The Dr. was nice each appointment from day 1 was a wait of over 2 hours. I needed this appointment so badly being as i was in so much pain w/ my periods. We did an Ablation worse decision I ever made. I couldn't even go back to see her before my ins expired I begged the staff even though she said 2 weeks staff said she was booked they said no. No follow up calls to see how I was doing nothing.Since procedure I am worse than I was before the procedure she came in highly recommended but if its a personal touch in my opinion she too busy. Sometimes practices are so big the personal touch w/ patients is lost. Overall she was nice but that's it. As for procedure works on some and others it doesn't.

She is a great Dr. and her office kept me updated via text when she was running late due to an emergency..This happened for both appts..But understand that baby's come when they come. My last OB/Gyn often was often late but we never received any courtesy notices that he was running late. This seems to be a practice primarily focused on pregnant women but she was also very helpful with menopause issues and annual exams.
