About Dr. Mariell Dominguez German

I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. From an early age, I realized that I wanted to become a doctor so I could help and support families in need. I attended medical school at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud in Santiago and moved to New York City shortly after graduating. I completed my residency at BronxCare Health System. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I decided to pursue medicine and pediatrics because I have been inspired by the resilience of children, their imagination, their approach to life, and their ability to overcome obstacles. I enjoy watching their development from birth to young adulthood and advocating for their wellbeing. A good day at work means being able to interact with children, learning about their goals and dreams while guiding their parents throughout their child’s journey. A good day also means building a strong relationship with my patients and their families. At Sanitas, we will work as a team to provide personalized, high-quality pediatric care. We are devoted to maintaining and improving your child’s health through preventative care. When I take off my coat, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends.

Being a new patient from out of state, I came early to the address listed. I called and spoke to 3 call center representatives & 2 of the building staff over the course of 30 minutes who gave me WRONG directions or could not tell me anything about where the office was located. I was directed to ask a man in the building where to go and he gave me the wrong floor. After running around the building carrying my one year old for over 30 minutes I arrived for the office to tell me to reschedule on Monday. Which would mean I would have to take another day off from work. They told me that it’s not their fault, it’s the call centers fault. After talking more and explaining my ordeal, they finally agreed to see my daughter. The Doctor and nurse are very nice but the facility and front desk need serious work. I didn’t feel like they had any empathy or cared and I WOULD have been on time for my appointment had someone just gave me directions when I originally called 45 MINUTES prior.
