Getting to know Dr. Mario Pruss
My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized psychiatric care. I treat many mental health disorders and provide a neutral ground for individuals and families.
Among the many conditions I treat, I blend evidence-based medical knowledge with suitably tailored psychotherapies for ADHD, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Impulse Control Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and the nuances of traumatic immigration, culture shock, and diverse values in parenting. Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral, safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I consider it extremely important to capture the strengths of the patients I serve and enlist their well-informed collaboration with me, like an athlete and coach pairing with the same goals. This requires thoroughness, sincerity, empathy, and the best possible insight on tap. Trust has to be given time to blossom. My aim is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be.
I earned my medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Rosario Facultad de Ciencias M?dicas and completed my internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, which have both shaped my comprehensive approach to psychiatric care.

New Patient Televisits: No prescription/Rx will be given during initial televisit until patient has been seen at least once in person.

I went to see Dr. Pruss following a psych evaluation. Dr. Pruss prescribed the right medication and dosing as well as helped me navigate a complicated shortage situation when my prescription wasn't available in most pharmacies. He was very responsive to me by email, always answering within the hour, even during the holidays and the weekend. This was very useful when he had to re-send prescriptions to multiple pharmacies on very short notice. I have found I him to be very caring, taking my situation to heart as well as very generous in the extra time he spent with me to help me navigate very frustrating logistical difficulties. He is respectful and doesn't hesitate to say things directly and humorously. I have found this makes it easy to be open with him. Bottom line, I really felt Dr. Pruss was on my "team" and cared about my health. I highly recommend him
