About Dr. Mark Christensen
Dr. Mark Christensen is a board-certified Family and Sports Physician who enjoys caring for patients and athletes of all ages. He considers the long-lasting relationships he develops with his patients to be one of the most fulfilling parts of his practice. Dr. Christensen treats a full spectrum of acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and musculoskeletal injuries. He also enjoys performing minor procedures, such as vasectomies and ingrown toenail removals. He strongly believes in preventive care, health maintenance, and partnering with his patients to achieve optimal wellness.
Dr. Christensen also specializes in Primary Care Sports Medicine. Keeping his patients active and healthy is an important part of his practice. He treats a wide variety of acute and chronic injuries in patients of all ages, including knee pain, shoulder pain, and concussions. He strongly believes in maximizing non-operative treatment and creating personalized care plans for his patients.
Dr. Christensen earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. He is a team physician for Rock Canyon High School and has a passion for sports and giving back to his local community. In the fall, you can often find him on the sidelines of varsity football games.
In his free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys being active with his family and playing sports. A former college basketball player, he continues to play team sports around South Denver, including basketball, softball, and flag football. He also enjoys snowboarding and hiking in the mountains.

I don’t know if Dr. Christensen was having a bad day, or if he just saw something about me that he didn’t like. It seems like his other reviews were great, but he spoke down to me during the whole visit and when I had questions he made me feel like I was wasting his time since we ended up not changing my treatment plan. Maybe it just wasn’t the right fit, but I walked away from that appointment feeling pretty terrible. Needless to say I’m not going back to his practice, but I do wish him nothing but the best.
