Dismissive, sexist, rude
Pretty straight forward. Pleasant conversation and to the point.
Works quickly, discussed all my concerns.
I had a lovely time with Dr. Gendleman and he even called a few days later to follow up with me. I would recommend him as a doctor but I can't recommend the office itself. I received a bill 2 months later from the laboratory they used which indicated that they weren't covered on my insurance. When I called the office to ask why they used a lab that wasn't on my insurance (and whether they would be willing to call the lab and negotiate the bill down, which is often done in cases like this), they told me that I should talk to their billing person and that she'd call me back. A month later, still no return call. So I called again and was told "it's not our job to know what your insurance covers, we only use that lab, and if you want us to call the lab to negotiate, then I can leave a note for our billing person but I know she won't call them." Ugh. If your lab doesn't work with the same insurance providers that your office uses, you should inform your patients about that ahead of time. And "I can leave a note but it won't do anything" is not an effective way to address that.
Very straight forward and honest. Quick appointment, gave great recommendations, in-and-out.
Very straightforward and effective. Gave me good information. Nice guy.
Very thorough and informative as to how I should treat my problem.
Unprofessional. Did not use gloves where it was clearly needed.
I felt rushed and he was slightly rude, like he was just trying to get to the next patient. Spent most of his time writing notes and didn't really bother listening to me and my concerns about the skin. Didn't really explain what certain medications would do or offer any other viable treatment options.
The Dr was a bit rude, he did not want to listen to what I was saying, he proposed that I come back in a week (not sure why, when I was having an issue for few months!-- which is the reason of my visit) He ended up giving me a very small pomade which did not solve my issue.
Quick, professional, and handled my issues quickly with his expert advice
Helped me renew my prescriptions quickly, offered to renew over the phone in the future.
He was very rude to me and to his assistant and belittled me when I said that I did not want to spend too much money on acne treatments. I could also hear him speak with another patient and he also seemed rude to that patient as well.
He is a very knowledgeable great communicator. I liked the service.
Great- gave me exactly what I needed and helped me come up with solutions for the future without having to make lots of appointments. Fast and easy, it was perfect!
He was great! Good analysis and made me feel at ease with my issue. Would definitely recommend Dr. Gendleman to others
Dr. Gendlemen was professional, used my name, and gave me options. I had a good experience with him and left feeling like I had the information I needed to make a good decision.
He was straightforward and understanding. He is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful; highly recommended for anyone looking for actual and truthful answers, and someone who will treat you like family--supportive guy.
Dr.Gendleman was very professional and knew my diagnosis right away. I will be back again if I ever need to speak to a Dermatologist.
Dr. Gendleman is amazing and o e of the best Drs I know
Everything went perfectly. The office staff were lovely, I got seen right away, Dr Gendleman was so nice and professional. I have 0 complaints and would highly, highly recommend.
He was not polite or informative. When asked a question, his responses were very rushed and annoyed. He couldn't determine what my issue was, chose to give me samples of psoriasis ointment, and had me on my way. The ointment didn't help, in case you were wondering. Also, no one in the office informed me of this when I was making an appointment, but you need to pay for parking at his Evanston location. Overall, I would not recommend.
The promptness and the professionalism of all involved were excellent.
Dr. Gendleman was very professional--straightforward and to the point, yet very thorough. Will definitely go back and refer him to friends and family.
Dr. Gendleman answered all my questions and offered helpful suggestions to address my concerns.
The staff is friendly and the doctor is kind and thorough.
Dr. Gendleman and his staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Kudos happy to return and recommend
Dr. Gendleman has been our family dermatologist for over twelve years, and he is consistently wise and careful and great at explaining things. I love that he is committed to training the next generation of dermatologists as well. That speaks so well of him.
I was more impressed with his assistant. But, overall the Doc addressed my concern and did give me a prescription for treatment. He was friendly and easy going. I just wanted more time with him to go over all of my symptoms. I feel like he latched on to the first thing I said and diagnosed right away without the full story. He was probably in a rush, which is understandable I suppose. He also rolled his eyes when I spoke to him about my own research on my symptoms. Messing with nature can be scary for some folks, shouldn't look down on us if we seek natural treatment alternatives.
Dr. Gendleman was very pleasant. Took time to see and listen to my problems. Came up with diagnosis and treatment method. I liked the way he treated me with patient and friendliness.
Very quick, efficient visit.
My visit was fine. He seemed knowledgable and the wait time is less than 10 minutes.
Dr. Gendleman was very patient and kind to my elderly father. This was our first visit, and he has already been very accommodating with scheduling convenient future visits. We look forward to seeing him again.
The doctor needs to talk to his patients and not his desk. He was a bit bored as everything seemed routine.
He was very kind and personable with my daughter. She had a great time, and even though she had to have a quick (and painful) procedure to remove something, she told me he was a good doctor about an hour after we left. Thumbs up!
He was able to diagnose my problem within seconds after meeting me. Was very down to earth and easy to talk to. He answered a lot of my questions and I felt very comfortable as my dermatologist. I will definitely be using him again!
Got some assurance of what my issues were.
Professional, experience, neat, quick check up and explain what I concern about. Very good doctor.
Sharp doc. Got the job done in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommended.
Real excited to have him as a new doctor.
I saw Dr. Gendleman about what I thought was a wart (it was). He thoroughly explained how he would treat it, and told me what to expect through the healing process. He treated it quickly and efficiently and made sure I wasn't in pain and all my questions were answered before I left. It was a very quick visit, but very thorough. I would definitely see him again.
I was pleased with my appointment. The receptionist was extremely friendly, the doctor saw me promptly and was professional and pleasant. I was completely satisfied.
Dermatologist worthy of the best review ever! I had a small mole on my face that I wanted removed. He removed it the first day I saw him! The whole appointment lasted about 15 minutes! Very impressed with him and his staff. Great guy, too!
It was quick and the doctor seemed knowledgeable. He was nice and gave me some free samples.
He seemed very knowledgable and didn't waste any time. He knew right away what I needed and seems to make himself very available to his patients.
Very Nice, Understanding and Experienced Doctor
My main complaint is that he made me feel like I was wasting his time. He seemed irritated with my skin concerns and assured me that I had nothing to be worried about in regards to skin cancer without doing a thorough check. He threw some samples for acne my way and assumed that since I had been to a dermatologist for acne before that he didn't need to explain any sort of skin care regimen apart from "put this on your face once a day, maybe twice". He wrote me a prescription in advance so I wouldn't "bother him while he was on vacation" and overall made me feel like a nuisance. I do not think I will be returning to his office although the prescribed acne medication appears to be working.
Dr. Gendleman is great. Very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain and answer questions. The stuff was great, wait time almost non-existent, and that considering that I was a new patient and had to fill out paperwork.
My appointment was for 10:30 and I arrived exactly at that time. I waited about 15-20 to be seen and was with the DR for about 5 minutes. He barely looked at me, he asked me very few questions and basically lectured me for the entire time about my skin care routine and how I was most likely doing everything wrong. At one point he told me to wash my face but that I should never moisturize. I was a little shocked by this and silent for a moment. He responded by basically telling me that he was happy I wasn't speaking up because that meant I was listening to him. In the end, he threw a handful of samples at me and told me that if the samples didn't work, he would write me an actualy rx but that I would have to come back (and make a co-pay). I of course had many questions but felt as though he was done with me and on to the next. As he was walking out of the room I asked him a question..he gave me a short answer and walked into the exam room next to mine. I left feeling completely unsatisfied, confused and frustrated. I wonder if anyone has ever demanded a re-fund on their co-pay?
Fantastic dermatologist. You can tell he's been doing this for a long time and makes sure he is sure about giving any diagnosis by taking the time to test out the possibilities with his patient. You can tell he got into the medical field for all of the right reasons. This is all without mentioning his witty and professional personality. Amazing doctor!
I would recommend Dr. Gendleman, he's all business, no small talk, definitely not a warm and fuzzy type. Be prepared to pay for parking.
Very efficient. I was in an out before my original appointment time with the name of the condition written out for me and a follow up appointment for treatment.
Professionally, Caring, Gently, Comfortably, Friendly.
He definitely knew what he was talking about and was able to help me right away. His bedside manner could be improved, but if what you want is to fix your problem, then he's the one.
So on key with what I needed. He gave me the relief and care I needed as a patient. Not bad being his first zoc doc patient. Thank you so much I will recommend your services to all
