About Michelle Bate
Michelle is a Dermatology Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience caring for dermatology patients of all ages. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Michelle strives to make every patient feel comfortable, fully understand their custom plan of care, and have all their questions answered.
She has extensive experience and a passion for treating many medical skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and rashes. Michelle specializes in the detection and treatment of skin cancer. Aloof and condescending.
Spoken to with a voice I classify as sing song. (like I am 2 years old) Used medical terminology and did not exactly explain it in a way I could understand. Did not provide me with take home instructions for care after my procedure. Did not express a need for a follow up visit after having a procedure. Said goodbye to me over her shoulder on her way out of the exam room.

Really disappointed with this overall experience. Went in for hair loss that I’ve been experiencing. Was completely dismissed by this provider. No tests/biopsies done and told that “it’s normal to lose hair”. I explained that I had photo evidence of how much loss was happening per day and was told that “unless I want to count it, it’s probably normal”. I already have a lot of anxiety in the healthcare setting and this made me feel like my concerns weren’t valid.

Both the nurse and the APRN were just amazing! The AP was very nice, on time, she listened to me and then with details explained what is my health problem and how it can be treated. And the most important for me was that she told me to be PATIENT . That’s my health problem will not be solved overnight and I just have to do what she told me and to be patient until I see results. To me it was very important so I won’t be disappointed if I don’t see quick results and I know that and when to expect. The nurse wrote everything with details for me in case I forget. Very nice office very good professional staff!

Appt. was at 11:20, was called in at 11:25. Dr Bate came in to see me right away. No rush, calmly looked at the issue I was concerned with. Explained her diagnosis and her plan to treat the problem after answering my questions. Nurse who attended us was very professional and the young ladies at the front desk were very polite. Great experience all around.
