“Dr Rybakov has improved my treatments and medication regimen so much that my quality of life has already improved significantly within the first couple of months of working with him. I had been seeing a psychiatrist who was very reputable but I now realize (after comparing to how Dr Rubakov operates) that the previous doctor was not as attentive to my specific needs and they had been taking for granted my original diagnosis from 10 years ago and not seeing other debilitating symptoms that needed to be addressed.

Getting to know Dr. Mark Rybakov
Dr. Rybakov is a compassionate and insightful psychiatrist who treats adults, adolescents, and children with a variety of issues, including attention deficit disorders (ADHD), anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and stress-related problems. He provides tele-psychiatry follow-up visits for busy adults and students.
Dr. Rybakov earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in General Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Originally from Russia, Dr. Rybakov speaks fluent Russian and English. He splits his time between private practice, teaching, and serving as a director of a community mental health center. Easy-going and relatable, he is dedicated to his patients, listens attentively, and thoroughly attends to their needs.

Dr. Rybakov was an excellent psychiatrist. This was my first time seeing one. I didn't feel rushed, I felt very heard, and was given an extremely thorough evaluation. He made me feel like I options, which helped with my feelings of isolation and fear in terms of coping with my anxiety. I would likely revisit Dr. Rybakov in the event I need a longer term alternative after trying out the current prescription he's given me. Dr. Rybakov also validated the circumstances that brought on my anxiety, and gave me a sincere medical prescriptive on drug induced (antibiotics) anxiety.

Dr. Rybakov was incredibly thorough and made me feel comfortable answering his questions. He asked questions in a way that made me feel understood and validated. He was receptive and non-judgmental. He gave me a different diagnosis than I had previously received and it was hard to hear but at the same time it almost felt like a relief. I was sometimes confused by my previous diagnosis and the one he provided felt more appropriate and it made me feel seen. After one appointment I feel like I am looking at my experiences in a different light, and having more compassion for myself. I've been so frustrated by my treatments but today felt like a step forward for me and I'm so grateful I decided to see him. He also gave me recommendations for diet and exercise, and included the reasons for his recommendations, and I felt immediately motivated to make changes. All his reasons and explanations for the diagnosis were also enlightening. I appreciated his openness and his holistic approach. It's the first time I've seen a psychiatrist where it wasn't just about meds.

Dr. Rybakov is great! I was able to get a same-day appointment while in the midst of a small mental health crisis, which was a great relief. He was professional, warm, friendly, and a great listener. He listened to my concerns about my anxiety and insomnia, and asked questions about how my other stressors and background may be contributing to my issues.
He laid out a thoughtful plan for medication, offered some natural remedies I could add as well, and contacted my therapist to ensure I was receiving the best care between the two of them. Highly recommend!

I had a 1 hour virtual Zoom introductory appointment with Dr. Rybakov and I’ve never had a psychiatrist who I felt comfortable with within a matter of minutes. He truly listens, is empathetic and takes the time to understand your background, previous medications/conditions and helps with figuring out the best treatment plan for you. Cannot recommend him enough!

My initial consultation with Dr. Rybakov was via FaceTime due to COVID. He was kind, empathetic, non-judgemental and easy to open up to. I normally find virtual appointments to be a bit awkward, so I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the experience was. I highly recommend him.

Dr Rybakov was great. Both my 15 year old daughter and I felt he was professional, warm, and open minded. My daughter felt very relieved after the appointment and said the issues she is dealing with felt less overwhelming. We both feel like we left having a plan in place and I especially liked that Dr. Rybakov prescribed learning a specific method to practice to deal with anxiety. In my daughter’s words, he was “chill” and “really nice”.
