It was my first primary care appointment and we didn't really go over my medical history besides which specialists I've seen which I felt was odd. I got the impression that because a few of my conditions aren't cureable, he wasn't even interested in treating my symptoms. In the end, I felt rushed out of the appointment, like we hadn't really covered all I wanted to cover, and like he'd attributed my problems to mental health issues. I was also unsure which things he brought up that he'd actually do because what I thought would happen didn't line up with what actually did afterwards with pharamacies and referrals. I feel like he could have been clearer on that front.

This doctor came off a bit condescending. Compared to other doctors he did listen but responded by saying things like "you have to live with it", "there's no magic pill". These things lingered after our visit. The day after appointment I requested to see a GI specialist. The doctor took is time responding. I received a message from the doctor stating I should look for another primary care because we had differences on medical treatment. This is odd because I never discussed my views on his care. He was aware that I didn't have good experiences with prior doctors. I'm sure what happened was he spoke with other doctors (iu doctors love to gossip). This was very unprofessional especially since I never told him my views on care. Would never recommend this doctor.

This doctor, Dr. O'Brien, is very people and action oriented. He introduced me to Good RX when I first met him, so I could make better choices. He has a demeanor that reminds me of the doctors of yore, like the ones who made house calls. He has good ideas, introduces me to knew solutions, and LISTENS. He has made a positive difference in my health. We were disillusioned with the medical community, and big brother insurance and the impersonal treatment of patients when we met him. He is an exciting discovery and I trust him.
