It was a wonderful experience
Traumatizing. I went to the Jamaica location. Their fax machine didn't work so they couldn't receive documents from my primary care doctor. I waited in more than one crowded waiting room - the first one had to be unlocked by a nurse after I checked in. There are signs everywhere printed on computer paper that say things like "please don't smoke marijuana in the waiting room!!!" and "we do NOT prescribe tranquilizers." Nurses are clearly understaffed. The ultrasound tech talked to me while she was working "interesting! it looks like a tumor when I point it this way, but not when I point it the other way. Look at that" ...what? All the other techs I've seen said they're not allowed to say anything to patients. When I finally got to the doctor, he seemed to tune out all of my description of the situation except the fact that I had kidney stones. "Oh you have stones? We can just zap those out for you. Come back next week and we'll zap them out." And I'm trying to tell him that I have a congenital kidney disease that makes my kidney sensitive, and other urologists have been very hesitant to apply radiation. He doesn't seem to care "it's really easy we'll just zap them out, we do it all the time." When I checked out, I asked if I could see the doctor at another location and the woman said no. Then she tries to make a sales pitch "we also do gynecology, would you like to make an appointment?" No!! Now I'm going through the nightmare of trying to get those ultrasound results, but I may just give up. When you click "patient portal" on their website, it takes you to a wix.com template. Never again.
My visit was great, the team is very care and help about patient.
I had been left waiting in a crowded noisy waiting room for three hours before I was seen. Secondly, I had to fill out again the same forms that I filled out online. I was told that their machine was down.
My appointment was scheduled for 1:00. I showed up at 12:45 and was finally seen at 3:30. The waiting room is overcrowded and very unpleasant. I also encountered Dr. Vine in the bathroom and he didn't wash his hands after using the urinal. Absolutely terrible experience all around.
