Dr. Mark Zitnik joined BackFit Health + Spine as Mesa’s Co-Owner and Operator in 2007. He is considered by many to be the foremost authority in Mesa regarding auto injury care.
He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the prestigious Southern California University of Health Sciences. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Illinois, where he also earned the distinction of becoming a four-year varsity letter winner.
“While I feel fortunate to have played football at the collegiate level, I have many lingering aches and pains to accompany all those great memories. It was my personal experience with debilitating low back pain and disk bulge which led to my career in chiropractic. Chiropractic care and physiotherapy allowed me to become active again despite my condition.” It is through his personal experience with back pain that Dr. Zitnik is able to offer the personalized care he provides each of his patients.
Along with his chiropractic and physiotherapy training, Dr. Zitnik has continued his studies in the fields of Nutrition and the Proper Assessment and Treatment of Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries.
Dr. Zitnik is still active in athletics and, since his initial diagnosis, has competed in four triathlons, his new found passion.
