The first step to fertility treatment is scheduling a consultation. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the doctor to discuss your medical and treatment history. Following this, the female patient (if applicable) will undergo a vaginal ultrasound to examine the uterus and ovaries, while the male patient (if applicable) will complete a semen analysis.
Marwan Shaykh, M.D., is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist, as well as the program director of the Assisted Fertility Program. He is widely recognized as a pioneer in reproductive medicine with over 38 years of experience, making him the most experienced fertility specialist in the region. Dr. Shaykh earned his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine and completed his undergraduate studies at the American University of Beirut. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University. Dr. Shaykh has been honored as a ?Top Doc? by Jacksonville Magazine in issues highlighting leading physicians and cutting-edge technology.
