I have been in therapy for several months so this visit had the benefit of our working together for a while and of having established an effective process for communicating. Dr. Cresci is an excellent listener and is fully engaged in all of our sessions. She tied together points that I have not yet connected. She asks relevant and probing questions that facilitate my progress. I am very satisfied with the way Dr. Cresci operates as a therapist.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples of various ages and backgrounds on the personal issues that concern them, including relationship problems, career and marital difficulties, depression, and anxiety. Talking to a non-judgmental professional who understands your problems can help you gain perspective on issues that may seem overwhelming and hopeless. I encourage each person in therapy with me to explore their current and past ways of experiencing themselves and relating to others. In doing so, they discover new ways of relating to and being in the world, thereby producing profound changes in their lives.
Similarly, couples therapy can help couples deal with the issues that are disturbing their relationship.
I am a good listener and can be insightful and helpful. I am respectful of cultural and lifestyle diversity.
I trained as a psychoanalyst and am board-certified in that specialty. I am active as a teacher and supervisor of fellow professionals and am the Director of the Postgraduate Programs in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at Adelphi University. I find my participation in training other professionals to be very helpful in working with both individuals and couples in my own practice.
