About Dr. Mary Ramirez
Dr. Mary Rose Ramirez, MD, MSc, FAAD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist and native San Antonio resident. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ramirez received her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Afterward, she completed a preliminary internal medicine internship at the University of New Mexico, where she was awarded the Preliminary Intern of the Year Award. Dr. Ramirez then completed a Dermatology residency at Duke University, where she served as chief resident during her final year of training.
Dr. Ramirez has presented at numerous national conferences and has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals. During her residency, she was awarded the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Resident Scholarship, which allowed her to attend a preceptorship in cosmetic and procedural dermatology. She was also trained in tumescent liposuction and SmartLipo through the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Ramirez is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Texas Medical Association.
Her professional interests include surgical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment, laser surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and liposuction. Outside of her professional life Dr. Ramirez enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and two small dogs. In her free time, she enjoys watching and playing soccer, reading, and traveling.

This was my first skin screening so I was overly nervous. Dr. Ramirez and her staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. Dr. Ramirez answered all my questions, and was easy to talk to. She explained everything she would do for my screening, and educated me on what she saw. She carefully looked at my skin head to feet, and let me know that everything I was fearful was cancerous was indeed not. I was advised what I can do to protect my skin, and left feeling relieved. I’d highly recommend her expertise!

Rosé Dermatology is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a skincare physician . Dr. Mary Ramirez was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She and her assistant listened very closely and gave me their best professional recommendations. I agreed with their choice of treatment and it turned out great. For any other skincare concerns, I know that booking an appointment to see them in the future, I would be once again, in good hands. I was in and out with getting my procedure done in no time. The front desk staff were nice and welcoming, and the area was very clean. It’s just a great place to go for medical care and to think, it’s a doctor’s office. Exactly the type of professional care a patient wishes for, but wish no more, because this is it. You won’t be disappointed. Definitely will be returning if I’m ever in need of skincare professionals because I’ve found it at Rose Dermatology and her name is, Dr. Mary Ramirez.

Going to a dermatologist, and having skin issues, you were already a little on edge on what the outcome is going to be, and having a staff is friendly as they are was very comforting the doctor, Dr. Ramirez, was the best I have recommended her already three times and hopefully they will be just as excited to have her as their new Dermatologist

I would highly recommend Dr. Ramirez. She was friendly and attentive to my skin issues and answered all of my questions. I went in to get a steroid injection in my cystic pimple and she also performed a bacteria culture test to make sure that I was not dealing with an infection of some kind. She was very thorough and straight to the point.

Friendly staff and a very clean office. Did not have to wait to be taken back to room. Dr. Ramirez was kind and very knowledgeable on what to do to solve my skin issues. I was given options on how to treat my condition. Medication was given in office to help my skin immediately. Prescription was also sent over to my pharmacy quickly so I didn’t have to wait to get started on treatment.

I was very happy with my visit and I’ll be happy to go back. The front desk staff was attentive, and I had a short wait. The medical assistant got me started and told me he would send a female medical assistant with the doctor so I felt more comfortable since they were examining more intimate parts of me. Dr. Ramirez asked me many questions about my medical history and past experiences and listened well - chiming in with her own knowledge to try to get a thorough diagnosis and help me understand what she was thinking.
