Dr. Cikra caught a fracture that was missed by my urgent care provider, clearly explained how my previous injuries have affected my ligaments, and laid out a plan for me to recover and avoid further damage to my ankle. About Dr. Matt Cikra
Matt Cikra, DPM, AACFAS, is a fellowship-trained podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists, providing high-quality orthopedic care to people in East Los Angeles, Wilshire, Santa Fe Springs, Pico Rivera, Tarzana, Encino, Valencia, and Montebello, California. Dr. Cikra began his career at California State University, Long Beach, earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduating, he decided to pursue a medical career and enrolled at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Before entering private practice, Dr. Cikra completed a podiatric medicine and surgery residency at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a podiatry fellowship at Newport Foot & Ankle Center in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Cikra excelled in both programs, receiving extensive training in traditional and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgeries. When he isn’t working, Dr. Cikra participates in continuing education. He also enjoys writing and contributing to medical publications. Dr. Cikra is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Excellent, efficient care at LAOSS. I had my x-rays done by Daniel who was kind and supportive. I saw doctor Cikra and he was calm, caring and made me feel confident about the next steps I could take for my issue. Highly recommend.
