He was very knowledgeable and did not try and rush through my questions. Offered suggestions that none of the other doctors (from other practices) provided me.
the best as always
He was very informative and help me understand more about my injury, answered all my questions
I like Dr. Buchanan. He and his office staff are very professional. The office was very crowded, but I was in and out in a little less than one hour (and that included x-rays). I rated him 4 stars because I haven't fully recovered from my surgery in January 2013. I thought I'd be fully healed by now with no pain. If I am pain-free by my next visit (July 2014), I'd give him 5 stars.
Excellent-- would highly recommend
Direct, informative, empathetic, nice and like visiting your long lost friend.
Dr. Buchanan seemed competent. However, I was forced to wait for an hour and a half before I got to see him. I was told twice that I was his next patient, but I actually heard him go into another patients room and introduce himself so I was lied to. I had told them I had another doctors appointment and would have to leave at a certain time. As I was leaving he came in. I could only talk to him for a few minutes because I had another doctor's appointment. It was a very frustrating experience. I could not spend any time with the doctor to really discuss my issue. Kate Lynk the Marketing Director came in to apologize for my wait. I appreciated her time and efforts to make me feel better, but it just wasn't enough.
Outstanding MD in every way. Along with his professional skills he 's also very thoughtful , nice and plain talking about the problem and what can or cannot be done to help. Very fine man. I highly recommend him and his partner Dr . Cuttica....
I thought Doctor Buchanan was very friendly and thoughtful. The wait time I believe was because of bad weather in the area and they were trying to make sure patience who missed their appointments because of the weather were also taken care of. That's a tough call to make but I'd rather wait and know I'm waiting so that other's wont be in pain. I live with foot pain, it's no picnic!
Dr. Buchanan has excellent skills. I have been a patient for years.
Good and to the point with recommendations for other services at the Center that would be beneficial for me. I was extremely impressed that I had just sent an e-mail with a concern, Dr. Buchanan called me to find out how he could help. That response alone, rates an Excellent! Thank you Dr. Buchanan. Fran Collins
A wonderful experience about my visit. Initial evaluation was quite thorough. He and your staff more than met my expectations. Thanks! Paul
Spent time w/ me explaining my issue and how it can be fixed. Did feel like only option is surgery though. But I wasn't surprised since only surgery can fix bunions and he felt mine was moderate enough not to ignore.
He is clearly expert in his field. I would highly recommend him.
Very professional. he listened to what I had to say. I was out of there in less than 25 minutes from start to finish. Highly recommend since he did surgery on a friends foot and she had been in pain for years and now is fully recovered.
This was the second foot injury that I have seen Dr Buchanan about. I was first referred to him for an anterior tibialis tear that no surgeons in my area had ever repaired. He and his staff are first-rate professionals in all ways I have complete strength and mobility restored.
I have seen many orthopedic physicians in my lifetime. Dr. Buchanan is the most impressive. His credentials and experience are excellent, and his interpersonal exchanges with me - the patient - are also excellent.
Friendly, able, timely, knowledgeable: all you can ask for in a doctor.
I can tell that he is an expert in foot and ankle issues. I have made him my specialist for this.
Very good, straight forward and helpful.
Excellent doctor with excellent people's skills
I thought the whole practice was very thorough, encouraged me to avoid surgery and gave me some very good options - the place was very busy but I got in and out within a reasonable amount of time. Very much appreciated Dr. Buchanan.
The appointment was short, but not rushed. He has the remarkable gift, rare in physicians, of making you feel his entire attention is focused on you and your injury. He listened with no trace of condescension, and phrased his explanations in lay terms whenever possible, explaining medical terms and procedures in more detail when necessary. He ensured all questions were answered before he left the exam room.
Front desk staff was a little grumpy and office was very busy with the shoe dept and other things going on. Very noisy in waiting room.
Great assessment, superb treatment recommendations, thorough follow-through with staff. Would recommend anyone to this practice and physician with confidence.
he is great
I had a very good appt. felt like he listened and gave me options. The front desk was professional & friendly.
I thought he was excellent! Very precise on what he recommended be done with my foot and very nice.
Friendly, knowledgeable, explored other possible options prior to suggesting surgery!
The doctor and his assistants are very pleasant, kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this doctor. The only complaint I have is the wait was 80 minutes!
excellent office staff. quick & orderly processing; x-rays and follow-up appointments. Dr. Buchanan answered my questions and provided clear instructions for treatment.
First visit. Follow on treatment and results will tell. Bruce
I've been seeing Dr. Buchanan for about a year and a half. I've seen mutliple doctors for my issue prior to him, and he has been the only one to really explore my options and now I see him about four times a year for continued treatment.
I was impressed with the entire facility as I was with DR. B. He is very knowledgeable and was quite informative as to varying options.
Dr. Buchanan is extremely professional; he has a great personality and is thorough in his explanation/diagnosis and lays out different treatment options. Definitely recommend.
He was calm, gentle, and answered all of my questions.
All the staff were great.
It resolved my issues. My problem was waiting 1+ hour to see him. My time is also valuable.
Waited a little long. But once I saw the dr. I was very happy. He advised me of all my options and explained everything. Felt very comfortable.
Dr Buchanan is the best foot/ankle doc I have seen in my 67 years. That includes those affiliated with major academic medical facilities.
always a good listener and a very talented doctor.
The office was very efficient. He was very thorough amd friendly and took plenty of time explaining things. I can't really completely judge until I see if the treatment works.
Dr. Buchanan and staff are always GREAT!!! Highly recommend!
The doctor's office had NO idea that I had an appointment - the Docotor fit me in... I made my appointment via yor service BUT the doctor's office was NOT told by you -- I am not going to use your service ever again.... You have a BIG problem......
I was impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Buchanan's staff and when I met Dr. Buchanan, he immediately put me at ease. His staff worked to have additional testing completed as soon as possible to confirm Dr. Buchanan's diagnosis. Dr. Buchanan reviewed the test results with me and explained my options/course of treatment, with surgery performed to correct my ankle problem. I am highly impressed with Dr. Buchanan's knowledge, expertise, personality, and the professionalism of all his staff. Deborah C.
Great Doctor but normally takes about 60 minutes before I am seen from appointment time
Very friendly, concise, great bedside manner. Informative and caring.
Other than the wait, he's a great doc. Your best bet is to schedule early, and then arrive early!
He was very thorough, I saw him as a follow-up/second opinion for a fracture that healed in the ball of my foot, but was till causing lots of pain. He gave so many recommendations for ways to help the foot to continue to heal, and put me at ease by saying if it still isn't feeling better after trying his recommendations in 2 months to come back for re-evaluation. Too many other doctors have 'left me hanging' since the fracture healed. I would be told that it will hurt for awhile but get better and to come back if I felt like I needed too. I'm not a doctor so I have no idea 'when I need too! He was great, I would absolutely recommend him!!!
Dr. Buchanan is highly competent, no nonsense, and gave me the information I needed: a second opinion and a determination about surgery.
Very knowledgeable! and quite personable!!
I liked him very much - very professional and told me the steps I needed to take to help my feet. I shall return!!!
He left some questions unanswered but that was more to the fact that I have to have an MRI so he has more information.
I was there for orthotics. My actual visit with the doctor was less than a minute or so. I was then given a referral to visit someone else in the group to have the actual services I needed performed. I wish someone would have told me that and I would have avoided the extra visit to the practice. I ended up wasting my time on this visit.
Dr Buchanan is very knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon.
would highly recommend Dr. Buchanan.
Dr. Buchanan was great. As a first time patient, I was very impressed by his thorough exam and thoughtful manner. He came up with a good plan to treat some hard to diagnose foot/ankle pain. His PA, Nate Schaefer, was excellent too. The practice is well-organized and efficient. Highly recommend them!
Very friendly and didn’t try to talk me into unnecessary surgery.
It was nice to get some clear, direct responses and options about my ankle injury.
He is fabulous and spends time with his patients. I have benefited from his surgical services twice now and am a physical testament to his skills!
This was the first time I saw him, but he seemed very nice and knowledgeable. He listened and didn't seem to be in a big hurry to get on to the next patient. The wait was about 50 minutes, but the person who took be to the exam room apologized for the delay.
Great bedside manner - informative and honest. Makes honest recommendations and explains options.
Dr. Buchanan is attentive, remembers you personally, and recalls your pertinent medical issues from visit to visit. He is also an excellent surgeon.
Dr. Buchanan was very informative and efficient.
He is very good.....good bedside manner and thorough.....just be patient!
Dr. Buchanan carefully reviewed my x-rays and other materials, used a foot model to explain my condition, and patiently answered my questions. I would recommend him to others.
