Dr. Farzad Saleh traces his origins to Iran where he graduated from the prestigious Isfahan Medical University. After graduating medical school with high marks he completed a five year general surgery residency at the well known Iran Medical School of Sciences. He then practiced as a general surgeon in Tehran-Iran and served as the chief of the surgery program, an achievement that only a few have accomplished. Dr. Saleh migrated to the United States in 2007 for a better life and to further his education and career. While collaborating with a plastic surgeon in Maryland he became familiar with limb salvage, wound care, and podiatry. From there he went back to school to study the science and art of foot and ankle surgery and medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. In 2016 he was accepted to do a three year surgical residency training at St Barnabas Hospital in Bronx NY. Upon his graduation he moved to Washington DC suburbs and we are thrilled for him to join us at Progressive Feet. Dr. Saleh is a highly trained clinician and an astute surgeon in the field of podiatry, sport medicine, trauma, and wound care. He is patient centric and draws upon his many years of training as a general surgeon and his residency training in New York where he collaborated with countless orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons. He is meticulous in his evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle conditions that range from pediatrics to geriatric care. He excels at sports medicine, wound care, diabetic foot care, heel pain, arthritis, correction of hammer toes, and bunion. In his free time Dr. Saleh enjoys playing tennis, swimming, running, and biking. He also likes listening to classical music, blues, and traditional music.
