Patient reviews for Dr. Matthew Luxenberg
The doctor was very helpful and informed me of the ingredients in my face lotion and the side effect they were having on my face. I hadn't even considered it a possibility for my skin irritation. The doctor was very informative, kind, humorous, and helpful, which made for a nice visit. I'm going back in a couple of weeks for a follow up and looking forward to it.
First time meeting Dr. Martinez. Very personable, and attentive to my concerns. Didn't feel rushed during my visit. Will definitely make my future apts with him.
The assistants are not organized, my appointment was at 2pm, I saw the doctor at 3pm. I waited for a whole hour
Terrible experience... do not recommend whatsoever. I regret spending money at his office. Waited over an hour even though I did all paperwork online. Initially had appointment at 1:30, was called and asked if I could postpone until 3:30 because Dr. wanted to go to lunch. Didn't see him until 5 PM. I don't think he spent more than 3 minutes with me. He asked what I was there for, gave me about 20 seconds to try to explain until he began talking over me and wouldn't stop talking quickly, using only medical vocabulary and telling me what it could "possibly be". Looked at my skin and symptoms for maybe 10 seconds and didn't even take the time to see all of it. Gave me a multitude of possibilities of what it could be, asked if I had a fever, I said I don't know, and he rudely said, "well do you feel hot?" without even bothering to take my temperature?! Immediately prescribed me a multitude of medications, had me take "his" shot that he didn't explain me what was for, and left without even asking if I had any additional questions. So I have no idea what I have, what to do... I just have more pills to put inside me... TERRIBLE.
He was fantastic. A very warm and friendly doctor who really too the time to listen to my concerns.
Both my son and I had separate appointments and each of us waited almost 2 hours to be seen.
The doctor was fine but the waiting time was too long they called and ask me if I can come early I came 15 minutes early but still have to wait more than 1:30 minutes I don't why I came early for
Doctor and staff are great... but the wait time is too long. I was one of the earliest appointment and still waited over an hour.
Although the wait was a bit long (he was running behind and I was informed of this when I checked in, so no big deal) it was well worth it. Dr. Luxenberg was fabulous. He is very knowledgeable and it shows. He is personable, friendly, and put me at ease. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I will continue to use him and recommend him to all my friends and family.
fantastic In and out in 20 minutes - even with a little surgury
He is really knowledgeable, act fast and funny
The wait was too long. It was an evening appointment and I waited over an hour past my appointment time to see the doctor. Once I saw him, he was very nice, efficient and thorough, but the wait was much too long.
It was pleasurable. He not only answered my questions with regard to the reason for my visit, but he gave me a diagnosis and treatment quickly. He also asked me if there were any other issues I wanted to talk about. It was a great visit.
Dr. Luxenburg is a friendly and skilled technician. In and out quickly and 100% satisfied. Great front office.
Excellent!! Dr. Luxenberg took his time to listen and answer all my questions. Will recommend to friends and family.
He was very efficient and thorough. His office was busy but gets to you very fast. Going back Tuesday looking forward it.
The appt was great, but did have to wait longer than expected.
Just an overall good visit. Very knowledgeable in his craft. A healthy sense of humor to alleviate any sense of nervousness.
Dr. Matthew Luxenberg, MD is great. he is very knowledgeable, gave me a lot of information and helped me a lot. It was my first time but i will definitely will come back. totally recommend him.
The wait was absolutely ridiculous! I completed all paper work online a week before my appt and still waited over an our to see the Doctor. However, Dr. Luxembourg was great.
I was a new patient and they phoned me and asked me to come in early. I arrived, completed some paperwork and saw the Dr. right away. I will definitely be a returning patient.
Great doctor, wait time not so much
Waiting more than 30 mins is excessive. Waiting 75 minutes is unacceptable.
Very nice guy
He was very thorough and talked to me while doing the procedure which made me much more relaxed.
I HATE making an appointment, then being forced to wait for OVER an hour! I originally made my appointment for 6:00pm, because I would not have to leave work early to get there. I was called by the office the day of my appointment and was told that they didn't have a 6:00pm, and could I come in any time between 5:00-5:30pm becasue they actually close at 6:00pm. I agreed and left work early. I got there at 5:15pm and did not see the doctor until AFTER 6:15pm. VERY Disappointing. I was just about to give up and leave when the nurse called my name.
Got to work on my spots , out of there 15 min. 20 spots the man knows his stuff!!!
I'll be honest, I almost walked out. I was so frustrated about the wait time. I had an 11am appointment and being that I was a new patient I arrived at 10:50am. I filled out the paperwork and then waited. And waited. At noon I was called in and sat in another room for 10 more minutes. I had to call my next appointment (12:30pm) and explain that I was going to be late. It was only Dr. Luxenberg that saved it. He was great. Very pleasant and made me feel comfortable immediately. Even though he was clearly running behind, he did not make me feel rushed or try and get through my appointment fast. I will continue to see him and hope that this delay was just a one time occurrence.
Doctor never give me a chance to ask any thing , maybe doctor thinks that patients 's questions is not important and would waste his time, he is friendly and funny though
You could tell the doctor was rushed. He was nice but just wanted to get it done quickly so he didnt pay as much attention. Waited almost 2 hours, spent 15 minutes with the doctor at the most. I wouldnt come back, he didnt seem like he truly cared.
Competent but so slow
I came in for a skin checkup concerning acne. First of all my appointment was at 5pm, I didn't get to see the doctor until 6:50pm. That's ridiculous and all I was told is that "Sorry it's busy around this time, try earlier or later next time." Thanks but I'll be going elsewhere from now on. Got my checkup as I requested, basically just threw prescriptions at me, and talked so fast I didn't get a word in otherwise. Next thing I knew he had me remove my shirt, lay down on the table and before I could know what was going on he was burning freckled off my body without asking or consulting me about why he thought that was appropriate. Now I have three scars on my body that are highly visible where the freckles use to be, and a medical bill that is outrageous from getting something done that was not covered. Dr. Matthew Luxenberg is a overzealous trigger happy dermatologist who barely cared if I was even there or not. If you want extra scars and medicine thrown at you without actually discussing causes of your issues then I would recommend him.
Dr, Luxenberg was very clear in his instructions, but the wait time was much to be desired. The staff did ultimately inform me to call before I leave home for my next appt & they'll let me know how they're running for the day - THAT was helpful for the next time!
I am an active age 75. For a decade I have had to get recurring pre-cancerous Actinia Keratosis spots frozen off or cut off, mainly on top of my head. Dr. Zuckerberg is A++ in his smooth and painless skills doing this, thorough in his examination focus, highly attentive to a patient's inputs, and has a friendly and outgoing personality as well. Highly recommended. Office and exam rooms at their main Los Alamitos location are plain and aging, but high fashion adds nothing to medical care, does it? The staff is unusually friendly and helpful, not the usual surly medical fare.
He was very nice and very personable ))
Dr.Luxenberg is Fantastic, very knowledgeable and more pro-active than any Doctor i've ever visited
This was the worst visit to any medical facility i have ever been. The wait was understandable it was busy and i showed up early. The treatment was not understandable. Rushed and unexplained I was uncomfortable the entire time. Even after letting Dr. Luxenberg know that i had never received his type of treatment before. My visit was for a genital wart.
great guy & competent Dr.
Great experience. Nice office. Friendly staff. Medical professional was informative and efficient.
I would definitely see him again and would be very comfortable.
The doctor is very nice. He was in and out quick. I would go back to him, as he made me feel comfortable. I did wait a good 45 minutes before I saw the doctor though but I also understand most offices get backed up. I would also suggest the girls behind the counter be mindful of their conversations or lower their voices.
Very impressive Doctor. Great personality, you feel like you have known him for years. His knowledge of my problems was as if he had been treating me for years.
He was extremelty helpful and eager to answer any questions. Very friendly and lively personality! I recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome dermatologist.
Great doctor, substandard front office. I showed up at 2:15 for a 2:30 appointment, didn't see the doctor till 4 o'clock! No apologies, no explanation. Front office didn't seem to be in tune with ZocDoc, buyer beware!
Great guy, place was packed because he was leaving for vacation within a few days ... Which explains the wait. Did a great job, quick and clean.
Office was really clutterery, made me question the santitary conditions of office. Staff was super nice as well as the Dr. The office hours were very accommodating. They stay open late on some days.
My visit was overall a good one. Although I did wait 40 min to be seen. Good thing I brought a book with me..I was starting to get a little miffed but got over it quickly. That would be my only complaint. Other than that I liked the Dr. and the nurse and they helped me more I feel than any doctors have in the past.
Best doctor's visit to date. Highly recommend.
