After completing his residency and internship, Dr. Ramirez was awarded a fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. During his fellowship, he earned a Master of Science degree from Emory. His thesis focused on the yield of genitourinary late effects screening of pediatric cancer survivors and has continued his research on cancer therapy late effects screening among pediatric cancer survivors throughout his career. His findings have contributed to the Children’s Oncology Group’s Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines for Survivors of Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancers. Dr. Ramirez is credentialed at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he was named the Most Outstanding New Physician in 2016. Dr. Ramirez currently also serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at FIU. Dr. Ramirez is Board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology and general pediatrics.
