I had a badly bruised/pinched tow which needed minor surgery to remove the damaged toe-nail. Dr Home initially made a careful assessment and then explained the reasoning behind her recommendation for surgery. The procedure went off flawlessly with minimal pain. Her follow-up instructions were clear and helped me manage easily the post-procedure process at home. She called me the day after to check on how I was doing. Very professional and caring!

Dr. Hom is a surgical podiatrist who graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in biology. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at California School of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a rigorous residency program at Kaiser Permanente North Bay Consortium (Vallejo, Vacaville, Santa Rosa, and San Rafael), where she was trained in everything from bunions/hammertoes, to complex foot and ankle trauma/reconstruction, sports medicine, and diabetic wound care/limb salvage. She loves getting to know each patient's story and background so that she can better understands their goals of care. While Dr. Hom loves performing surgery, she also appreciates the balance of keeping conservative care in mind as well. As a previous Division I NCAA softball player, she understands the importance of active recovery and enjoys the opportunity to help people at all activity levels get back on their feet, so they can continue doing what they love to do.
