Dr. Hom grew up in Orange County, California, but has lived most of her adult life here in the Northern California region. She earned an NCAA Division I softball scholarship and played four years as a center fielder at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where she also received her Bachelor of Science in biology. She then went on to earn her doctorate at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland and graduated as the class valedictorian. She completed her forefoot/rearfoot surgical residency at Kaiser North Bay Consortium, serving the people of Vallejo, Vacaville, Santa Rosa, and San Rafael. She was trained in everything from bunions and hammertoes to complex foot and ankle trauma/reconstruction, sports medicine, and diabetic wound care/limb salvage. Dr. Hom loves getting to know each patient’s story and background, so she can better understand their goals of care. While she loves performing surgery, she also appreciates the balance of keeping conservative care in mind as well. With her sports background, she understands the importance of active recovery. She enjoys the opportunity to help people at all activity levels get back on their feet, allowing them to continue doing what they love. When she’s not in the operating room or clinic, Dr. Hom enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves going on road trips, eating all forms of noodles, watching Marvel movies, and going to the batting cages.
