Dr. Meir Baalhaness is an ophthalmologist with advanced specialty training in treatment of retina conditions. Dr. Baalhaness obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Brooklyn College and graduated with honors from SUNY Downstate Medical School. He completed a one year internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in surgical and medical treatment of retinal diseases at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Baalhaness is passionate about educating and treating patients with diabetic and vascular eye conditions as well as macular degeneration.
