Melanie Jackson has been working as a nurse practitioner in women's health for the past three decades. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Purchase College, and her Master's in Family Nursing from Pace University in Westchester. Melanie worked as a nurse practitioner for the Nassau County Health Department for ten years before moving on to private OB/GYN offices in Garden City and Levittown, where she has continued to build her practice. I saw this provider a long time ago but remembered not liking the experience. However because she had Sunday appts and I wanted an appt asap I booked with her. Now I remember why.
All the testing she did came back negative and even though I was still experiencing the same issues, there was no follow up. No follow up of what I should do next or if I could do further testing that’s it.
She was nice enough to do my Pap smear as well however I was not due until next year. So if my insurance did not cover 2 visits a year it would have been a big bill.
If you need to see someone quick for the yearly exam I guess she would be fine but if you have an actual problem I would try to find other options.

I didn’t feel she was thorough at all or that she was interested in my concerns. I left feeling unheard and a tad annoyed. She had good bedside manner but that’s it, the whole staff seemed like they were in a rush to go home.

Her office billed my insurance incorrectly three times in one day and it cost me hundreds of dollars. They tried to cancel the charges, which would have worked if my plan wasn’t a Health Reimbursement Account - meaning that the insurance company is really just holding *my* money in an account so that my employer can verify that I’m only spending the money they gave me on medical expenses. They had been paid automatically. My plan just restarted on July 1 and my appointment is July 5. I cannot afford to see a doctor for the next 12 months until they refund my money to my account. I obviously am never seeing Melanie Jackson again and I strongly advise anyone considering her to take their business to another practice.

Had an appointment in the Levittown location. A bit difficult to find, as the building is set back from the street in a small strip mall. There is plenty of off-street parking. Modern, clean waiting area and exam rooms. Friendly front desk staff and sonographer. Nurse Practitioner Melanie Jackson is very professional, did a thorough well-woman exam, and answered all my questions. Highly recommend this practice.

The staff here is wonderful, everyone is so nice and really, genuinely friendly. Each person I spoke to made me feel super comfortable, and the doctor was so helpful. First time at the office, quick and to the point. Didn't have a long waiting time after filling out paperwork, or getting in the room. Doctor and assistant were both very nice. Would recommend. Much better than the last gyno I've been to.
