About Melissa Lanza
My name is Melissa Lanza, RN, MS, FNP-BC. I am a family nurse practitioner, nationally board certified, and a primary care healthcare provider. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the City University of New York, College of Staten Island, and my Master's in Nursing from Wagner College. The mission of this practice is to keep you healthy by focusing on wellness and prevention.
As a nurse practitioner, I diagnose, treat, prescribe, and order diagnostic testing and bloodwork to cure acute conditions and manage chronic illnesses. Obesity can cause many chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, muscular problems, depression, and low self-esteem. I specialize in weight loss, helping patients lose weight and inches through a successful program that adds years of quality to life. Addressing this promotes wellness, prevents disease, and is a journey of transformation. Lives change, lifestyles modify, and a makeover occurs. Each person is treated holistically, addressing mental, physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Our practice warmly welcomes new patients. We strive to provide the highest quality care to meet your healthcare needs. During this pandemic, demand is great. If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel within 24 hours so we can offer the slot to another person.

The office staff is horrible and unprofessional. The receptionist accidentally called me and I heard her talking bad about me to another coworker due to the insurance I had, as well as talking poorly about the provider. When she was confronted about it she didn’t even deny the things she said and just hung up. I felt very embarrassed and uncomfortable to even continue with making an appointment.

Very rude nurse practitioner would definitely not recommend she is even very rude to her staff the receptionist is a sweetheart but as far as Mellissa Lanza a horror show she was acting like she did not want to be there very nasty with me coughing everywhere and had a argument altercation with the receptionist yelling at her to get me in again I never felt more uncomfortable terrifying experience

The appointment maker is an absolute idiot. She was blowing up my phone all day long with text messages. She refused to do her job and find out the address of my insurance company by calling the number on the back of my card which I provided. Instead she threatened me that my appointment would be canceled if I did not provide the address. A person like that should not have this job.

I think she is a good practioner and very thorough. However, she didn't ask me once about steps I've been taking to better my health. She just looked at me and assumed I had a poor diet because I look a certain way( acne, 5'3 and 160 pounds). She told me I needed to eat healthier and exercise more. If she had asked I would have told her I eat only home cooked meals with balanced portions and go on a brisk walk for an 3X/week. I felt pretty humiliated by the end of the appointment even though I kept a brave face until the end. I cried once I got back home. I probably won't be coming back.

I told her I did not have a job and she was trying to promote oils to me. I didn’t buy any oils and I felt. Awkwardly pressured. The girl at the front was nice but she is screaming medications to the doctor (that is in a room with another patient) that I’m on I was embarrassed. Luckily no one was in the waiting room but there was another patient in the room with the doctor, I’m sure if the doctor heard then so did the patient. I won’t be going back.

The wait was way too long. Patients came in after me and we’re seen before me, she claimed they were “sick” but they definitely were not. She tried way too hard to sell me products as opposed to anything else.
