About Dr. Michael Allon

Dr. Michael Allon, a Houston, TX fertility specialist is Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Allon is a native of Houston and completed his medical and Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Baylor College of Medicine. While completing his residency, Dr. Allon had the opportunity to work with many infertile couples and developed a keen interest in the complicated processes leading to successful conception and pregnancy.
He decided to pursue these interests by completing a two-year Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the prestigious Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. He had the opportunity to train with leaders in the field of reproductive medicine and developed superior skills in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility including laparoscopic surgery, management of assisted reproductive technology cycles (IVF), treatment of hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome ( PCOS ), and many other areas. Dr. Allon is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
Now in private clinical fertility practice, Dr. Allon continues to pursue his interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and PCOS's many associated symptoms. PCOS is one of the most common causes of infertility in women. He offers the full spectrum of infertility services and is an expert in laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and other conditions. Additionally, he has built a very successful assisted reproductive technology program (IVF) which includes a Donor Egg Program.
Dr. Allon is the author of several articles and book chapters including, “Ectopic Pregnancy & Hirsutism”. He is active in ongoing PCOS research and is President of the Houston PCOS Support Chapter.
Dr. Allon is an active member of the American Infertility Association, Endometriosis Association, Texas Association of Obstetrics & Gynecology, The Endocrine Society, American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG), Society for Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (SREI), Harris County Medical Society, the Houston PCOS Support Group, and others.
Throughout his career, Dr. Allon has received many awards and recognition for superior accomplishments in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Wonderful, very easy to follow his instructions and recommendations. I wish I had come to see him many years prior to this visit. He was highly recommended by a best friend of mine who Dr: Allon help with IVF and now she has two beautiful children.

Doctor Allon was very nice! I had almost given up on the hope of finding a doctor that could really help me with PCOS. I have been dealing with this issue for so long. I decided about 5 years ago really start trying to get my cycle in order because I really wanted kids and it took me just as long to find someone who actually cared enough to at least try to help me. With just one appointment I feel confident in him as well as I have hope now. Even if I can t have children I am satisfied that he at least tried to help me unlike other doctors that I've seen in the past.

Dr. Allon was very positive about treatments that will help me and help me to feel better. He did not rush me through my questions was able to give me specific reasons why certain things will help me. I was so pleased I call a relative that does not live in Houston to them they need to come and see him.

Dr. Allon was very thorough and attentive. I scheduled a consultation with him for PCOS and he was very knowledgeable about my condition. Dr. Allon was very kind and patient with me when seeing me. He was very receptive to my concerns and also very respectful. However there was a massive wait time. Nearly two hours before I was seen. He was very apologetic and explained about the confusion when trying to change to different patient organization systems. Overall, it was a good experience. I hope to be seen with a smaller wait time in future visits.

Excellent doctor! I have been to 3 other doctors so far for my PCOS and my search for the right doctor ended with him. He is extremely patient and gives you the due amount of time to hear and address all your concerns. I have never felt rushed in his presence. He is gentle, understanding, and very knowledgeable. Dr. Allon is the best doctor I have ever seen for anything. He is extremely knowledgeable and I know I'm receiving treatment from the best in his field. His manner is quiet, sincere and caring.
