About Michael Barrera

Michael Barrera is a Nationally Board Certified and Florida licensed, fellowship trained Physician Assistant in all aspects of Dermatology. He began his medical career in 1999 when he enlisted in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Just two short years later he became a nationally certified Radiology Technician.
After an honorable discharge in 2010, Michael went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a minor in Healthcare Administration. He then graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University earning his Master of Medical Science degree as a Physician Assistant.
Michael is board certified by the National Commission of Certified Physician Assistants and also licensed to practice through the State of Florida Board of Medicine. He is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of skin, hair and nail conditions. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
He prides himself on providing exceptional patient care and patient education. Michael was born in Colombia and is fluent in both English and Spanish languages.
