Dr. Campanella developed his love for medicine while working in these various support positions and decided to attend medical school in 1999. He entered the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and graduated in 2003. He completed the Fifth Pathway Program through New York Medical College and started residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Richmond University Medical Center Staten Island in 2004. Dr. Campanella served as the administrative Chief Resident. He was a two time winner of the resident teaching award. In 2008, Dr. Campanella was awarded the Agustin N. Ravello award for displaying commitment to the field of OB/GYN and displaying compassion for his patients.
In September 2008, Dr. Campanella entered group practice where he worked together with Dr. Simon Kokkinakis. Dr. Campanella has earned a reputation as a physician who is an active listener and takes the time needed to address every patient’s needs. In 2010, he was awarded the distinction of being one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors.
Dr. Campanella offers a full range of care in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He manages high risk obstetric cases along with a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist, offers basic infertility treatments and works closely with reproductive specialists. He is also proficient in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and traditional pelvic surgery and stays up to date with advances in surgical technology.

Always a plesant experience with Dr. Campanella. He takes the time to go over everything with you, I never felt rushed. One of the nicest, most down to earth doctors, highly recommended.
