About Dr. Michael Chu
Dr. Michael H. Chu graduated from Western University of Health Sciences. He has had superior training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania. He completed his General Surgery training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chu is trained in Open and Endovascular Techniques to treat Aortic Aneurysms (AAA), Carotid Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Visceral Disease, Venous Disease and Dialysis Grafts. Additionally, Dr. Chu has specialized training in the interpretation of Vascular Ultrasounds, as well as practical knowledge and experience in Wound Care. In fact, Dr. Chu is the Associate Director of Vascular Surgery at the Long Island Wound Care Facility.
Dr. Chu completed his Surgical Internship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Chu joined Long Island Comprehensive Medical Care in November 2020 and practices out of our surgical suite in West Islip, NY.

The dr isn’t clear in communication. Lack of understanding and doesn’t answer questions. No guidance. The staff is amazing. I made the appointment and was seen and had tests same day. But felt that the Dr was unwelcoming and not helpful or informative, or interested in helping me find the root of my problem. Just shrugged his shoulders.
