About Dr. Michael Maiorino
Michael Maiorino, DC is a licensed chiropractor (since 1999) serving patients at Structural Based Therapy in Alpharetta/Roswell/Johns Creek/Buckhead/Brookwood/Midtown, Georgia. Dr. Maiorino works with patients from all age groups. To provide patients with the best results, he works in collaboration with massage therapists, acupuncturists, physical therapists, physiatrists, neurologists, and orthopedists. His ultimate goal is to alleviate the patient’s pain and restore normal function in the shortest amount of time possible. Dr. Maiorino is level 3 certified in shockwave therapy (EWST) and EMTT. He also uses Class IV Laser, custom orthotics to compliment is chiropractic manipulation and muscle mobilization techniques.
Dr. Maiorino was drawn to chiropractic early in his life after a family member was injured. He shadowed the treating chiropractor for a few weeks, and he was able to see the results of chiropractic care firsthand. After spending some time as a patient, Dr. Maiorino decided to enter the field as a chiropractor. He received his education at Life College of Chiropractic. Dr. Maiorino graduated in 1999 and began practicing in Patchogue, New York.
He is originally from Brooklyn, New York, but he spent most of his childhood on Long Island. In 2006, he moved to Alpharetta, Georgia, where he has been embraced by the community.
Dr. Maiorino maintains the highest standards and protects his patients by never exposing them to unnecessary X-rays. He believes his care and treatments speak for themselves and he doesn’t lock his patients into long treatment plans or packages.

A few days ago, I sprained my back with severe back pain and could hardly walk because of the pain. When I got up from the table after treatment, I could walk easily with only mild discomfort. He said I should continue to improve over the next few days.

This is why I avoid chiropractors. While Dr. Maiorino had good bedside manner, my overall experience was something I wish I never did. The first, and most glaring issue, is that after assessing me, he recommended shockwave therapy and another treatment without mentioning that it would cost extra. Although I did not ask, he spoke as if it would be included with my apt. He quite literally did not mention the additional cost until AFTER I received my treatment and was up at the counter, which was A LOT extra on top my insurance. He also offered NO payment plan options, even after I mentioned that I wasn’t expecting this price. He remained silent as if he didn’t hear me. In this economy, conducting business in this manner is unprofessional and some would deem financially predatory behavior. To top it off, I literally feel worse. Also, no follow up call to check on how I was doing after the treatment.

I was suffering from debilitating back and joint pain following a strain caused by moving houses. I came into Dr. M office with pretty bad back spasms caused by a super tensed back.
After speaking with Dr. M during our first visit, he immediately knew what my issues was and was able to give me some relief immediately.
Prior to coming to see Dr. M, I had issues getting out of bed and getting through the work day without experiencing pain. It was simply painful to move or even breath sometimes because my back muscles were just so tensed. With that kind of pain, I soon realized how we use our back muscles literally for everything.
After my first office visit with Dr. M, I walked out of his office essentially pain free. I was simply amazed and so grateful. I now follow-up with him on a weekly basis until my issue is completely resolved.
