With over 28 years of experience in the healthcare field and a Master's in Nursing from Purdue Global University, I have found a passion for helping everyday people navigate and understand their own healthcare needs. All too often, knowledge is hidden in complex medical language. I prefer to teach in regular terms anyone can understand and to motivate patients to take control of their health.
In simple terms, the primary care provider should help patients understand and navigate their own care. My job isn't to drive the bus; my job is to make sure you have a full tank of gas, fresh tires, and a good map.
When I am not working in family practice or aesthetic medicine, I enjoy writing, reading, and traveling. I have published several smaller medical texts and have been teaching myself Spanish in my free time.
