I think the most important role of a primary care provider is to be there for their patient in a nonjudgmental and empathetic way and to listen to what they have to say. It's also important that we provide the highest quality care by staying up to date on treatments. I love treating the patient as a whole-both physical and mental.
I am a bilingual Cuban American born and raised in Miami, FL, in a large family of 10 siblings. I majored in psychology and earned my Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. I worked in a rural town near Asheville, NC before moving back to Miami to be with family. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, riding my bike, and doing creative projects.
