Michael Schurdell, M.D. practices in our Rome office. Dr. Schurdell received his Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from Brigham Young University. He completed his medical degree at University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Schurdell served as an intern at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Emory University School of Medicine. He completed subspecialty training during his Interventional Pain management fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Dr. Schurdell is board certified in Anesthesiology and received subspecialty certification in Pain Management from the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Schurdell’s training has brought him to various parts of the country allowing him to work alongside leading experts in the fields of Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine such as the world renowned Dr. Richard Rauck. He has acquired advanced training in multimodal therapeutic approaches to chronic pain which include the use of minimally invasive techniques such as epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root blocks, sympathetic blocks, and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Schurdell practices in our Rome office.
