My focus is fostering a patient-centered, therapeutic relationship while implementing an evidence-based approach to mental health wellness. I hold a Doctorate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing, which informs and enhances my commitment to delivering high-quality care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in medication management and mental health care across the lifespan. Utilizing my nursing background, I have developed an empathetic approach to caring for a diverse population of patients. I pursued my undergraduate studies at Austin Peay State University, earning my Bachelor of Nursing degree. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree focusing on psychiatric mental health from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where I graduated with honors.
I am also an active member of professional organizations such as the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and my state nurses' association.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
As a psych NP, my role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing psychotherapy.
