Work experience range from working as a CNA, an acute care staff nurse, a critical care nursing supervisor to an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family medical and mental healthcare. Her expertise includes diabetic education, psychiatry, hospice, and palliative care. Michelle earned her family nurse practitioner degree from the University of Central Florida in 2005. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Capella University and successfully completed Florida State University’s Post Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate program. She is Board Certified as a Family, Geriatric and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida. Her passion is assisting the community in reaching optimal physical and mental health. Michelle enjoys mentoring and educating other healthcare professionals. She has precepted numerous nurse practitioner students who've become successful professionals. Because of her hard work and dedication to her field, Michelle received the SAGES award for clinical excellence in 2017, and was nominated for a Super Hero award in 2018. In her spare time, she participates in annual walks in her community to raise money for breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease research as well as educates the public on advance directives during local health fairs.
