Dr. Mini L. Sivadasan, serves as the Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Robotic Cardiothoracic Surgery at Houston Methodist West Hospital. Specializing in minimally invasive cardiac and robotic cardiothoracic surgery, she incorporates minimally invasive techniques in aortic valve surgery, mitral valve surgery, repair of the aorta and cardiac arrhythmia surgery. Her expertise spans a wide range of cardiac surgeries, including on pump and off-pump coronary artery revascularization surgery, multi-arterial coronary artery bypass grafting, concomitant valve coronary surgery, multi-valvular surgery, aortic, and aortic root surgery, as well as the surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation.
Completing her general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Health System in New York, Dr. Sivadasan pursued advanced surgical training with a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at New York University Langone Health System. During her tenure at New York University Langone Health System, she gained specific expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic cardiac surgery and robotic thoracic surgery.
Post-surgical training, Dr. Sivadasan practiced in Chicago, Illinois. During her tenure there, Dr. Sivadasan was featured on Chicago’s WGN Channel 9 News for "New Heart Valve Techniques in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery" in 2011. In 2012, she received recognition from Advocate Health Care, Chicago's largest healthcare system, for Excellence in Cardiac Surgery. Subsequently, she continued her practice in Dallas, Texas, where she was voted by her peers as Best in Dallas for Cardiothoracic Surgery. She was featured in D Mag
