I felt “heard.” Every staff person paid attention to me and didn’t discount my pain and symptoms. I want to include Kaitlyn, who took my X-rays and knew when holding positions was difficult; John Tobia, whose PA interview felt like a genuine conversation with an interested party; and Dr. Salar, who grasped things about my symptoms which previous doctors ignored or scoffed at.
