About Dr. Mohammad Usman Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed's passion is providing holistic and individualized care. He saw firsthand the value of preventative medicine when his father suffered from a heart attack at a young age. Since then, he has strived to provide high- quality, compassionate care for a broad and comprehensive range of medical conditions. Dr. Ahmed recognizes the value of an equal partnership between patients and physicians, and hopes to help others achieve a cherished goal: good health.
After completing his undergraduate education at Boston University, Dr. Ahmed excelled in his studies at New York Medical College. He has presented at numerous academic conferences and has published research on theoretical models to find new applications for existing medications. Dr. Ahmed completed his residency at the Zucker School of Medicine, Northwell Health program at Phelps Memorial Hospital, where he provided care to vulnerable populations in a community-based health center. He has since joined the Stamford Health Medical Group in Norwalk.
In his free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys exploring and experiencing new places and cultures through his travels. He also enjoys cooking and is always looking for new, challenging recipes to tackle.

Loved the staff and the doc. Professsional by very human. Acknowledged my issues, history, questions etc instead of solely relying on a cold chart. Haven’t had to find a new pcp in ages that I truly counted on for a complicated and difficult medical history, and was so grateful for dr Ahmed. Thank you!

Waited a while to gather my thoughts. I don’t think I would recommend any woman with PCOS to bring up their issues with Dr Ahmed. He may be fine in his primary craft, but for him to recommend me to gastric sleeve surgery just based on my weight, and saying I don’t need to see another doctor other than him for my PCOS is quite disappointing.
PCOS comes with hormonal issues and insulin resistance. Yes, I may not be at the correct weight at the moment, but to be recommended for gastric sleeve is not going to solve my issues. My main priority is my health - just having a weight loss surgery is not going to solve my PCOS. I wish he was more open to the overall health of his patients and sometimes that’s knowing that not just a primary doctor can solve the issues and sometimes it’s great to have other opinions weigh in. I will be looking for another doctor as gastric sleeve is not the answer for me. As well as I’d rather find a doctor that doesn’t just assume to what I’m doing

Stamford Health at Norfolk was a great experience. Front desk was kind and friendly. Nurse was articulate and informative. Doctor was patient. Very informative with questions. Got referral for ongoing procedure. Check out procedure was quick and paperwork was correct for next visit. Blood draw was fast and no issues all around.

Took the time to review lengthy medical history. asked questions of me and continually asked if I had questions and if topic clearly explained and understood. well-defined set of goals and objectives moving forward. Great all around experience. The office staff and nurses were also wonderful. could not recommend more.
