I honestly should have told the doctor this on spot, but I was just so taken aback that I needed to process, but now that I've processed I need to vent.
So on my first visit at his Woodhaven I had to deal with a very unfriendly nurse, who gave me a really hard time registering because I didn't have my health card which I was waiting for in the mail, even though my insurance assured me I could see the doctor as long as I had my ID and policy number, she just refused to see me unless I called my insurance company and had them fax over a copy of my card. So I did what I had to and the doctor was quite pleasant on the first visit.
However, the second visit was not so pleasant, I had to wait an hour and a half to see him, while mark you the office was empty and he was strolling back and forth in and out of the office on his phone. When I finally saw him his initial demeanour was off-putting, telling me to put away my phone in such a demanding tone was very offsetting to me, I was like who are you to talk to me like that, and when I proceeded to tell him that I was still having itching he was not very pleasant and nurturing, it was as if I shouldn't dare have itching still because he already gave me the medication to treat it.... Anyway the most disturbing part was when I found out that my pap smear results did not come back completely positive and when I attempted to ask him the many questions I had, he was very dismissive, it was more like I was an annoyance to him and he would have preferred that I accepted his generic, "it is what it is and it is not that serious now," response; me attempting to educate myself on this new discovery was just too much for him. I am actually going to go to another obgyn to get more opinions on my situation and I will not be going back to him.

Md mohan mahadkar is a EXCELLENT doctor. He's very informative and sincerely cares for his patient's. I visit him for infertility meaning to help me be able to have kids and because of the help of Md Mahadkar i was blessed with a son and now 2 years later im back for his help to have my last child. I thank him SO much.

He is only interested in receiving payment from your insurance. He fishes for questions to have you coming back as a patient/insurance. He will not help with the deeper issue/problem at hand.

As soon as I arrived, there was another patient who was having a heated discussion with the front desk agent which I should have saw as a warning sign. They were discussing why it was necessary for her to have to come back to get her smear results instead of over the telephone. Clearly, the doc wants to receive the copay of the visit hence why you must come to the office to get your results. In addition, I felt uncomfortable because there was some strife amongst the staff and it was clearly visible to the patients.
My other complaint, although I did arrive early for my appointment I ended up having to wait over an hour which I didn't mind but when I was taken in I felt that my appointment was rushed. Second, when I addressed my concerns I felt that he ignored me. I felt that he pushed me on a specific brand of birth control and disregarded my questions.
I don't think I'll be going back.

I went back about 4 times for simple procedures that could have been done the same day. Every time I went back I had to keep paying a co-pay. I had a simple procedure done in which the doctor said it would not scar. The procedure did end up in a scar and now I am very self conscious about it. I would not recommend this doctor. Everything is always rushed.

This is my first initial visit. The waiting room is a bit small but it is worth it waiting to see Dr. Mahadkar. He was very professional and knowledgeable about his profession. The doctor and his staff was very friendly and I felt comfortable through the whole visit. he does not wait like other doctors if you have a problem but like to look at what is going on and start treatment ASAP.

I reada lot of positive reviews here and i have to say they were not at all exaggerated. Dr. Mahadkar was very pleasant and professional. My wife and i just found out we were going to be parents and he seemed genuinely happy for us. He has good connections to world class hospitals and can recommend where to go to have competant staff help deliver your baby. We are happy with him and plan to go back throughout the pregnancy for check ups.
