About Dr. Terri-Ann Nelson
Dr. Nelson completed her OB/GYN training at The Brooklyn Hospital Center after obtaining her Doctor of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science from St. John’s University and a Master’s of Science from New York Medical College. Born in Brooklyn and raised in the Tri-State area, Dr. Nelson is committed to providing compassionate care to her community. Dr. Nelson is a first-generation Jamaican American and is passionate about addressing health care disparities, especially those impacting people of color in the birthing community. She is committed to empowering women to take care of their bodies. She utilizes her social media platform and brand partnerships to educate and equip women with the tools to have autonomy over their sexual and reproductive health. Dr. Nelson is a major foodie and enjoys traveling. She is excited to join the Maiden Lane family and continue to serve the Brooklyn area.

Dr. Nelson is a fantastic practitioner. It's clear she cares, and that she has the skills and experience to combat any minor or major concern brought to an annual appointment. Maiden Lane's network of doctors and therapists is well integrated, and their work with pelvic pain patients continues to be the best practice I've experienced so far. I was able to get a referral for pelvic floor PT, and the insurance and co-pays were clearly laid out via the portal.

Currently looking for a new GYN and I think I have found my new doctor. Dr. Nelson was a great listener, she made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgeable and supportive. I look forward to my next appointment. The staff was also very warm and welcoming, and there was no long wait to see the doctor or a long wait for the doctor to come see me in the room so I am extremely satisfied
