Also, I have a situation where I could use an ultrasound, but it’s not required and she didn’t try to push me toward it like a lot of places might who are focused on billing. About Dr. Jill-Ann Swenson
Dr. Jill-Ann Swenson is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr. Swenson began practicing in Brooklyn in 2010. Dr. Swenson is a passionate advocate for educating and empowering women to be active participants in making their own, informed healthcare decisions.
Starting her higher education at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, Dr. Swenson earned her undergraduate degree with Magna Cum Laude honors. She received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2006, where she was elected to the AOA Honor Society. She completed her residency at New York Methodist Hospital, earning multiple teaching awards from her peers there.
Dr. Swenson is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her primary areas of interest in women’s health care include obstetrics, gynecology for adolescents, managing abnormal Pap tests, and performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Swenson was really lovely. She had great bed-side manner, was super clear and friendly and I was in and out quickly, but didn't feel rushed. Their nursing staff is also amazing! I was getting a blood test and I'm pretty squeamish and the nurse had me laughing and relaxed in no time. It was painless!

Dr. Swenson is friendly and no-nonsense in her approach. It had been a couple of years since my last OBGYN appointment but she had clearly familiarized herself with my charts and asked pointed and personalized quesions. After having given birth to my daughters, with an awesome doctor I found that I was having an incredibly hard time making appts with her so I started searching for another gyn approx 4 years ago and found Dr Swenson, honestly she has amazing bedside manner, listens attentively, is completely non judgmental, patient, and takes her time to address each of your concerns! I could not possibly ask for more!!! There’s plenty of parking near her office! It’s super easy and convenient to make an appt! I can’t ask for anything more!

I, went in to see Dr. Swenson for clarity on a medical issue feeling quite confused from my previous Dr.
After speaking with Dr. Swenson, I departed feeling 100% better w/ clarity & better understanding also secure with my decision to wait til after the holidays to make a surgical decision.
I, am not trying to be bias, but a female Gyn Drs. get you and your concerns.
I am not scared anymore.

Dr. Swenson was great - however, the office is disorganized. Specifically, they still have not been able to fill my prescription over two weeks since I was seen. I’ve called five times over the past two weeks, and spoken with multiple people at the office trying to get my prescription filled. They repeatedly asked me for the name of the medication, which I didn’t know exactly because it is a new script, and they tell me they do not know what I was prescribed and don’t know what to call in. I’ve asked them to please contact the Dr or check my chart to find this (basic) information so I can get my medication. Still nothing - no follow up, no script. Another reviewer describes a similar experience - it seems this is a pattern of disorganization. More importantly it is totally unethical to rely on the patient to tell you which medication to fill - this should be verified by checking the patients chart to ensure the correct script *ordered by the dr* is called in.
