Getting to know Dr. Mona Sarshar

Do you feel stuck in your current circumstances? Are you overwhelmed with anxiety, finding it challenging to navigate daily life? Struggling in your relationships? Lacking self-confidence and constantly worried about others’ judgment? If you’re facing these or similar challenges, know that you don’t have to face them alone. Life can present significant obstacles, but with a fresh approach, we can pave the way for new and positive outcomes. I earned my PhD in School Psychology from Temple University, and I am passionate about empowering my clients to reclaim control over their lives and move closer to a better version of themselves. I take a holistic approach by integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with other therapeutic techniques to address not only the cognitive aspects of your challenges but also the emotional and behavioral dimensions. This provides you with a comprehensive toolkit for personal growth and well-being. I believe in working collaboratively with you, offering an empathetic, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to explore your challenges and make more informed, confident decisions to navigate life’s complexities. Let’s start the journey toward a new and improved life!

What should a new client know about working with you?

"In our initial intake session, we will thoroughly discuss your concerns and challenges. If we find that working together is a good fit, we will collaboratively explore and outline your goals for therapy. During our therapy sessions, we'll set specific agendas to focus on your areas of concern. Additionally, I will provide you with psycho-education about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and gradually introduce techniques as our sessions progress, ensuring a tailored and effective approach to your unique needs and goals. Along the way, we will regularly assess your progress, and we will decide accordingly whether to continue or modify the approach or make other decisions to ensure the best outcome for you that is aligned with your evolving needs."

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
