Dr. Najjar specializes in Neurology and Sleep Medicine and is the new medical director at Northshore Sleep Medicine. Board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine, Dr. Najjar treats patients with a variety of sleep disorders and has special interest in patients with neurological sleep disorders.
He underwent extensive fellowship training in sleep disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular and cerebrovascular disorders, including fellowship training at Louisiana State University, University of Alabama and University of Toledo. While practicing neurology, he later developed an interest in sleep disorders; he has been practicing as a full-time sleep specialist for more than 10 years.
Dr. Najjar is the medical director at the School of Polysomnography of Morraine Valley Community College in Illinois where he teaches Polysomnography Technicians. He has been practicing medicine in the Chicago suburbs for more than 15 years. He is married and lives with his wife and children in the western suburbs of Chicago. Great visit! Took a thorough history, listened to what I was there for, asked if we'd addressed all the issues I came there for, helped me with insurance info that was necessary. Just recommended him to my husband!
