I had a mixed experience with Dr Orbuch. Wait time was not a problem and his bedside manner was quite good too. However, his ability to explain the next steps caused problems and required follow up visits as there was much confusion. Additionally, some of the medication prescribed was inappropriate (there were better alternatives), which we later both agreed on. I was referred to Dr Orbuch after my doctor suddenly retired. As a long term IBS sufferer I was worried that a new doctor may not treat me seriously. Dr Orbuch was great, very friendly and sympathetic and immediately suggested some tests and treatments that I had never tried before. I would highly recommend Dr Orbuch as a doctor. He was thoughtful and offered time and insight. Unfortunately, I would strongly advise against making an appointment because of the terrible service of the reception desk. The rudeness at check-in was easy to overlook but having called 3 times for almost a week waiting for a reply on a prescription question, it is discourteous and unacceptable. Even asking, "what should I expect next?", her response was "I don't know". I said "ok, so should I expect a return call from you or dr or do you recommend I call back later or tomorrow?"
