I've seen Dr. Paksima for two different hand problems. His M.O. with me was not do surgery until everything else was attempted. His surgical skills are outstanding, with a very calming, professional bedside manner. In my book, he is a star.

He was very professional and informative, but I wasn't left with any after care instructions. It could also have been that I had a mini panic attack because I don't like needles - who knows.
I would recommend, although the waiting time was not ideal considering I had to get back to work after the appointment.

Dr Paksima removed my ganglion cyst and the surgery went really well. I had a speedy recovery. The only thing I wish is that he attended one of my post-op appointments as opposed to the physician's assistant exclusively. But I will be going back to him as needed.

Dr. Paksima was very informative and takes his time to explain everything thoroughly. I really appreciated that and would definitely return to him for hand injuries. The office is a bit disorganized though. I was sent rounds of forms, including on the day of the appointment, and was asked to print and fill out the forms, and to still arrive 30 minutes before the appointment time. The nurses saw me on time, but Dr. Paksima ran into an emergency so it was another hour before I saw him. The walls aren't soundproof and other doctors kept stopping into my room, confused about where their patients were. Hopefully, this was all just a one-time occurrence.

Please be prepared to wait, but once you've seen him you'll understand why he is in such high demand.
He preformed a thorough examination, I never felt like he was rushing to get to the next patient. He was clear in explaining what was happening, why, and next steps.
Definitely will return, completely satisfied.

Dr. Paksima was great. He is very knowledgeable and I feel confident in his expertise. I went in for a 3-month old thumb injury and he was able to quickly identify where my injuries occurred and explained it to me very clearly. He also outlined the possible treatment options depending on what is shown on my MRI. I would highly recommend Dr. Paksima to anyone suffering from joint related injuries.

Dr. Paksima and his staff/assistants were very friendly and attentive. The whole process , from pre consultation, to x ray, to treatment, to post consultation with the physical therapist was extremely organized and smooth. In about an hour and a half, I had been seen and treated by multiple people and walked out with 2 splint devices and questions answered. I also received a followup call with related suggestions.

Don't usually do reviews, but hands down the best experience I've had in a doctor's office in NYC. EVERYONE on staff is efficient, informative, and highly-skilled. I had a finger injury that was quickly evaluated, double-checked, and treated-- literally in and out on a lunch break. Cannot emphasize enough: if you have a hand injury GO SEE DR. PAKSIMA. Simply the best.

The experience was good. The doctor was very quick although straight to the point, I had no double thoughts with the diagnosis and his statements. I rate it 4 stars as I was given a wrist brace at the time of my visit, actually physically put in on my wrist , wasn`t asked if I want to use their wrist band or buy my own and was not warned that it`s billed from a separate company which is out of network. Later I received a bill for it.

The doctor and intern did their job and relatively quickly diagnosed me. However, the wait time, paperwork and upfront process before seeing the doctor seemed extremely slow and inefficient.

I liked Dr. Paksima and his staff. I was able to see him within 5 minutes of checking in/dong a quick survey of my symptoms (being in the NYU EHR system helped) and my exam was efficient; not at all rushed.
I was first seen by his PA who was extremely knowledgeable, knew exactly what exercises to do with me to exploit my pain to get the best treatment and explained to me exactly what was going on in my hand. After her initial diagnosis, Dr. Paksima joined to confirm by having me do additional exercises. He fully explained the treatment and additional follow ups to set my expectations following this first treatment step. I fully appreciated that, his demeanor.
All in all, I will recommend him to anyone who may need a Hand specialist/Orthopedic Surgeon in the future. I like his style, his office staff and system.

Really great thorough doctor, excellent bedside manner and attention to detail. I could tell that he was busy, but he was still patient and answered my questions. The appointment ended up taking about two hours, but that's because he ordered x rays and was able to review them immediately, so he ultimately saved me time since I didn't have to book another appointment, which I genuinely appreciated. His staff is also very nice and accommodating. Can't say enough good things about him.
