I highly recommend Dr. Samimi. He was very thorough in his explanation of my diagnosis. Not once did he look at the clock. He really listened to what I had to say. Unlike other Doctors I've seen in the past, Dr. Samimi gave some options on how to treat my pain. He didn't seem put off by my many questions. I felt that I was really involved in my treatment. If you want a Doctor who knows his stuff and values you as a patient then Doctor Samimi is the one to see!!!

Nadiv Samimi is an empathetic, caring, Board certified physician who specializes in pain medicine. He grew up in Los Angeles and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He came back to Southern California to complete his residency at the University of Southern California. He chose to complete his residency in a place where he knew he could get the maximum exposure to a diverse population and wide range of pathology. Having been a chief resident, he went on to complete his training at the renowned Cedars-Sinai Hospital and specialized in anesthesiology to receive thorough training in many of the pain-managing treatments.
Throughout his career, Dr. Samimi has maintained that in order to successfully treat pain, it is imperative to understand what the patient is experiencing and to listen to what they have to say. Any successful healing relationship is built on listening and trust between the doctor and patient. Dr. Samimi’s favorite exercise with patients is to use models to help teach and explain the patients’ conditions and treatment options. He provides cutting edge treatments such as lumbar epidural injections, peripheral nerve blocks, cervical epidural injections, stem cell and platelet plasma injections, and joint injections.
Dr. Samimi comes from a family of medical professionals; one of his siblings in an ophthalmologist, his sister is a nurse, and so is his mother. When he is not treating pain and healing, Dr. Samimi enjoys painting, mountain biking and traveling.

After bad experiences with several other pain doctors I instantly had more hope after my first visit with doctor Samimi. It's rare to find a doctor who is willing to spend the time explaining what he thought was causing the pain and actually took out a spine model to explain how exactly treatments would help and they did! I hope my pain doesn't come back, but if it does, I know I can trust Dr. Samimi to treat me with dignity and my best interest at heart.
