I know living with diabetes can be difficult, so I adopt a comprehensive approach that includes medication management, lifestyle modifications, and psychological support to help you manage diabetes. Each person has individualized plans tailored to their specific needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Patients are educated about diabetes management and are encouraged to take an active role in their care. I use plain language to explain complex medical terms and concepts and listen attentively to concerns and questions. I maintain regular follow-up appointments to focus on preventing complications through early intervention and
proactive management. I offer telehealth consultations to increase accessibility for patients and utilize mobile apps, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and other digital tools to enhance your diabetes management. I participate in workshops, conferences, and courses to stay current with advancements in diabetes care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am board certified as a Psychiatric mental nurse practitioner and I see patients ten years and older as well as adults and geriatric patients for a wide range of psychiatric disorders. I build therapeutic alliances with my patients through active listening, and tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient using evidence-based practices. I educate patients about their conditions, and the importance of adherence to treatment. The patients’ outcomes are closely monitored to ensure the effectiveness of treatments and make necessary adjustments if needed. I offer telepsychiatry services to increase accessibility for patients. I understand the field of mental health is unique and people may have an inaccurate perception of the issues the patient is facing. Each patient is unique and will have a different cultural background. It is important to meet each person where they are and offer the treatment best suited for that person. Healthcare is constantly changing, so it is important for me to stay informed about new treatment modalities and work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive care.
