Dr. Shami received his Bachelors degree from New York University and went on to obtain his medical degree at the University College Dublin, graduating with Cum Laude Honors.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Montifiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and went on to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Shami is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician who practices at The Valley Hospital, an institution in Northern New Jersey, as well as St.- Luke's Roosevelt in NYC, an academic affiliate of the Columbia School of Medicine. Dr. Shami is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Medicine Residents Association, the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, the Ridgewood Medical Society, the NJ Medical Society, and the NY Medical Society.

Didn't see this actual doctor, but the one I did see was very nice. She wanted to help me feel better. This is one of those "doc in a box" places, as my grandpa says. They won't be very personal, but they will be quick and efficient.

This doctor only accepts walk-ins. The receptionists in the office AE unsure why he is on zoc doc. This is urgent care only. Would not recommend if you are looking for an actual appointment.
